The Chronic Kidney Disease folder contains two searches to help with auditing patients who may require review. The base cohort is defined as patients whose most recent CKD coding is stage 3-5.

This search will identify patients who do not have a recent Kidney Failure Risk Equation (KFRE) score, i.e. a score entered into the patient's record in the last 12 months. This search includes either 2-year or 5-year risk scores. Not all patients will require a new assessment and score, but a clinician may wish to review patients returned in this list to look for changes which might have changed their risk score.

This search will identify patients who are not on an SGLT2 inhibitor. It does not account for type 2 diabetes or recent eGFR result and should not be used for casefinding. A clinician may wish to review patients returned in this list to assess suitability for starting on SGLT2i.
