020A Admin template supporting searches

Notes
This folder is part of 020 Practice Administration

Overview

This folder is designed to complement OneTemplate Admin with searches relating to some of the sections offered on the template.

Detailed list of searches

Fee sent but not received
Any patient where a bill has been recorded as sent, but there is no subsequent code to record that the bill has been paid. This report may help staff track and chase overdue invoices arising from private work.

Preferred method of contact
There are a number of methods of contact that a patient may wish to have. The report will display how many patients have a preferred method of contact recorded (eg: home/work/mobile telephone, letter, email). Presently the data can be exported to Excel to count the number of instances of each.

Record contains third party information
Any record where a code documents third party information has been recorded. This may occur as a result of safeguarding or family related documents. The report should show text added via the template describing the nature of the third party information.

Prescriptions not collected in last 12m
This search is designed to support part of the OneTemplate Admin where staff can record that a prescription has not been collected. This may be used in different ways depending on whether the Practice has a dispensary or not. The report will show all patients with a code indicating an uncollected prescription from the past 12 months, although there are no means of documenting if or when the prescription was eventually collected, or even cancelled.

Is a carer
This search should initially be used with caution as the Is a carer code may be applied using different standards across Practices or even staff or patients. The code may have been recorded in a previous surgery and transferred electronically when they registered with the current Practice, or the patient may have been a carer for a now deceased partner.
Until the list has been reviewed and cleansed, the search should not be considered a 'practice register', although for the purposes of invitations for flu jabs any patient on this list will be included.
Alert
EMIS Web has a separate carer module which may be in use. The carer module and the search are not related, so patients may appear on one but not the other.

Type of carer NOT recorded in last 12m / Type of paid carer previously recorded
There are separate codes to distinguish Professional carers from informal/family carers. These searches may help to pick out professional carers whose status should be verified annually.

Equipment loans manager
Practices may wish to use codes to keep track of a number of items which may be loaned to the patient such as home blood pressure monitors and nebulisers. This search can help monitor which patients currently have Practice owned equipment.
