020B Attendance

020B Attendance

Overview

Notes
This folder is part of 020 Practice Administration

This folder contains a number of searches to provide information on various aspects of attendance at the practice.  This includes frequent attenders, those with multiple DNAs and those who have not been in contact with the practice for some time.

Detailed list of searches

Not had a consultation/encounter

These searches are intended to help identify patients who may no longer be active patients of the practice (for example those who may have moved overseas) although it will also include patients who have not required any support from the practice in this time frame but remain active patients of the practice.

Frequent attenders

These searches are intended to help identify patients who may be frequent attenders at the practice.  This may help to identify those who would benefit from alternative intervention or support.

DNAs

These searches are intended to help identify patients who may frequently fail to attend scheduled appointments.  The searches for 'different days' can help to avoid patients being flagged for multiple DNAs on the same day which may have been part of the same appointment.

The searches also include DNAs of patients under 16 as the practice may have a separate protocol for these and wish to code them as child not brought to appointment in line with recommendations of the RCGP Safeguarding Toolkit.
