The Chaperone search folder is part of 012 Audit ready (v3.1)
The Chaperone folder contains a search and report which can be used for monitoring and audit purposes.
The search RWA-151) Intimate examination identifies patients who have had a code added in the past 3 months which suggests that some form of intimate examination has been conducted. This covers both female and male body areas.
The search has been designed with audit in mind so it only looks for codes added up until 'yesterday'. This allows users to use a relative run date in the past and obtain data from a different 3 month period without pulling data which had not yet been added had the search been run on the intended date (ie: setting a relative run date of 01/04/2022 will look at the range 01/01/2022 - 31/03/2022, but no data added after 01/04/2022).
Users should look at the report to review identified activity. The report separates female and male type codes into distinct columns; as well as showing any problem codes which were added on the same day. On the right hand end it is possible to review whether the offer of a chaperone had been documented, accepted, or refused.
The report can be used to target patient records for a more detailed review to determine whether it may have been appropriate to offer a chaperone, or if the clinician only free-texted the information (which cannot be picked up by searches and reports).
