DMARD Medication Review >3 months (HP037)
DMARD Medication Review >3 months (HP037)
Overview/Purpose
This protocol ensures that users are warned if they set a medication review to over 3 months if the patient is on DMARD medication
What does it do?
- When a medication review is coded, checks to make sure that this is not more than 3 months in the future.
Why is it important?
There are well established guidelines for monitoring of Disease Modifying Anti Rheumatic Drugs (DMARDS) and none of these allow more than 3 months to pass before the patient needs to be reviewed again. This protocol acts as a safety net to ensure that users do not advance the planned medication review date by more than 3 months in the future.
