New asthmatic needs variability/reversibility testing (HP183)
New asthmatic needs variability/reversibility testing (HP183)
Purpose:
This protocol will:
- ensure that patients have appropriate testing to achieve the AST012 indicator
What does it actually do?
The protocol performs the following functions:
- Any time an asthma diagnosis is entered it evaluates the record to see if this is the first entry of the diagnosis
- If it is, the tool checks to see if the patient has had the required tests for AST012
- If the patient hasn't, the user is alerted that this is the first diagnosis of Asthma and that the required tests haven't been recorded in the record - highlighting that this is a common data error and offering options for the user.
