Display Issue with Increased SystmOne Font Size

Important Notice: Template Link Issue - Greyed Out Buttons

Introduction

We have identified a template issue that can occur when PCIT templates are updated within SystmOne. These updates can affect template links, making them impossible to click on ('greyed out').
This issue most commonly affects the PCIT Launcher templates (templates which contain a large number of links to other templates):

Without issue (all buttons working):                        With issue (buttons greyed out):

Why this happens

Many of our templates feature quick links to other PCIT templates to assist the user in navigating to different areas of the PCIT template suite. We regularly undertake maintenance and perform updates to these templates to ensure that they are always up-to-date and as helpful as they can be to users.

However, when a SystmOne template is updated, any links pointing to that template have to also be updated by the system itself. Unfortunately, when a user has a template open that contains one of these links, SystmOne can't update it, and it 'blocks' the link instead. In practice, this might appear like the following example:
  1. A user has a patient record open, and is populating some information in the PCIT Lifestyle template
  2. At that moment, PCIT performs an update to the PCIT Smoking template, which is linked to from the Lifestyle template
  3. The user goes to click on the link to the Smoking template, but the button is now greyed out, and it cannot be clicked on:

Workaround

Despite the link showing as grey, the linked template itself will still be active and can still be launched using the following methods:
  1. By using the F12 Launcher or
  2. By using the 'Search Features' box in the bottom left corner of the screen
In any case, grey links will automatically be restored if the user saves/discards, and then re-retrieves the patient record/retrieves their next patient.

If you have any questions, please raise a request on the portal and the SystmOne team will be happy to help.
