OneRecall Closing Support (PT00165)

OneRecall Closing Support (PT00165)

Purpose:

When starting a consultation, this protocol will show which disease registers the patient is on, their latest relevant diary entry for QOF, their latest invitation, latest annual review, whether they have a diary entry marking a future review date, and any declines or unsuitables this fiscal year.

A data-entry template is then provided if you double-click the alert which will let you add a recall closing code.

Key features

  • Allows users to see up-to-date recall information clearly without having to look around.
  • A detailed template to guide the user in moving the patient through OneRecall

What does it look like?

The protocol looks like this:

If you choose to update the information, the following template appears. This is broken down into sections:

Introduction:

Coding:

Several steps are included here to aid navigation.

The PCAs for any indicators the patient is part of then follow. Note that coding these PCAs won't remove them from the OneRecall system (searches and alert) for the year. You'll need to code a review or an opt-out, if you don't the searches will flag them as overdue and the alert won't disappear.

PCAs:

Example PCA for Cholesterol

Information:

The "Recall" items here check when the last invitation or annual review was. Either box will display a date if one has been undertaken. Tick the box if you want to record this information in the consultation you are currently in.
There is then the option to code or backdate another invite if needed.

Location:

Lastly, for the benefit of keeping your registers up-to-date an area to code housebound/care home status is provided.

System Dependencies:
This alert is dependent on your surgery actively using the OneRecall process. If your surgery does not use this toolset this alert will have little value.

System Trigger

System Trigger: Load patient record
Run mode: Always run
Enable trigger for: All staff

Fitting your practice

Your team need to be aware that this alert will pop up at the beginning of any consultation where the patient is inducted into the OneRecall system. You should of had a discussion about who is responsible for adding the closing code.

How to get it

This protocol is an optional handy protocol.  You can request this from the PCIT hub or submit a ticket to support.
