
To ensure that a patient review is correctly documented:
Open EMIS Web and search for the patient’s record.
Navigate to the OneRecall alert at the bottom right of the patient’s screen.
Double-click the alert to open the Recall Review Template.
Within the recall template, complete the following sections:
Review Outcome:
Tick Chronic Disease Annual Review Completed if the recall is now complete.
Utilise OneMonitoring if you want more information about what is needed for QOF or address data entry as required by double clicking on it.
If additional monitoring is required before the next scheduled review:
Tick Recall Sooner Than Month of Birth (MOB).
Select the follow-up interval (e.g., +6 months, +1 year).
Save the record to schedule an interim recall.
For patients who do not attend or decline follow-ups, use OneMonitoring to add the appropriate information
Standardise Entries: Ensure all clinicians follow the same documentation format for consistency.
Use EMIS Alerts: Flag overdue recalls to prompt action during routine consultations.
Audit Recall Completion Rates: Regularly review reports to track recall effectiveness and follow up on incomplete reviews.
