Referral Choice checker (HP329)

Purpose:

This protocol will:
  1. Assist practices to audit whether they are providing a choice of service provider when referring to external services. This excludes Emergency and 2WW referrals.

What does it actually do?

The protocol performs the following functions:
  1. After a consultation has been saved and a referral code has been added in that consultation, the protocol will check if an offer of choice has been coded. If it has not, a question will pop up.

What does it look like?

Where a choice has not been coded, the following question will appear:

Each option here has a code behind it, which will be picked up in our Practice Admin searches.
Dependencies:
This Handy Protocol relies on referral codes being added in during a consultation.

System Trigger

System Trigger: Save consultation
Run mode: Always run 
Enable trigger for: All clinical prescribers

Fitting your practice

Your practice team will need to be aware that this will not work if referral codes are not added during a consultation.
