Remove Safeguarding Codes (HP010)

Remove Safeguarding Codes (HP010)

Overview/Purpose

This protocol will end episodes of safeguarding on patients of any age.

What does it do?

  • Identifies safeguarding codes on the patient
  • Displays information the latest instance of multiple categories of safeguarding and vulnerable groups of codes prior to the user accepting the action to end the episodes
  • Adds a code to end the corresponding safeguarding episode
  • Offers user the choice to add a code of Care leaver for any patient under the age of 25 where the protocol has ended episodes

Why is it important?

EMIS Web has a safeguarding flag (CP) on the precis bar which is triggered by the presence of certain groups of codes. Users sometimes find it difficult to remove the flag if there are multiple entries from up to 4 separate groups of codes.

What does it look like?
