Overview/Purpose

This diagnostic support alert is a protocol alert for EMIS Web, which has been designed to provide information about diagnostic tests that would be expected.  Depending on the situation this may show whether diagnostic tests have been done, or haven't been done.

The alert covers:
  1. Patients on B12 and whether they have had an intrinsic factor antibody test
  2. Patients with hypothyroidism and if they haven't had thyroid antibodies
  3. Patients with erectile dysfunction and if they haven't had a testosterone test

What does it do?

An alert will show on any patients within the following cohorts:
  1. Patients with a B12 injection within the last 6 months, showing:
    1. Those with intrinsic factor antibody checked (and the result and date)
    2. Those without intrinsic factor antibody checked
  2. Patients on the hypothyroidism register, showing those without thyroid antibody results
  3. Patients with either an issue of an erectile dysfunction drug or an erectile dysfunction code, showing those without a testosterone result

System trigger: Load patient record
Run mode: Always run
Enable trigger for: All job categories
