Cholesterol exception checker (HP386)
Overview/Purpose
What does it do?
- When users enter a code that indicates a statin cannot be used, checks to ensure that the user has appropriately applied a personalised care adjustment
Why is it important?
Users often enter a statin personalised care adjustment, not realising that this doesn't count for QOF indicators relating to statin. This often leads to duplicate work at the end of the contract year to go back and enter the appropriate codes. This protocol ensures that the correct codes are offered for PCA at the point that the user enters the statin PCA.
