Needs Statin and previous lipid exceptions (HP407)
Needs Statin and previous lipid exceptions (HP407)
Overview/Purpose
This protocol ensures that users achieve the following QOF indicators:
- CHOL003 - Patients on a statin or other lipid lowering drug
- CHOL004 - LDL cholesterol less than or equal to 2.0
- DM034 - Diabetes (with no history of CVD or frailty) on a statin or other lipid lowering therapy)
- DM035 - Diabetes (with a history of CVD) on a statin or other lipid lowering therapy
What does it do?
On opening a patient record checks to see if the patient has outstanding requirements for any lipid management indicator for QOF.
If there are outstanding requirements the patient is checked to see if there are any previous personalised care adjustments
If there are, an alert shows to inform the user of what these were and when they were entered.
Why is it important?
It's really useful to be able to easily identify patients who have had personalised care adjustments made in the past, so that consideration can be given to whether these want to be applied again.
What does it look like?
If the user hovers over it the following information is shown:
System Dependencies
Relies on using the clinical system to code appropriate diagnoses.
System Triggers
System trigger: Load patient record
Run mode: Always run
