Diary Entry Due (HP427)

Diary Entry Due (HP427)

Overview/Purpose

This alert highlights where there are outstanding diary entries

What does it do?

  • On opening a patient record checks to see if the patient has outstanding diary entries in any of the PCIT identified follow up categories
  • If there are outstanding diary entries the user:
    • Can see the category these belong to
    • What these are
    • What date these were due

Why is it important?

Recalling patients for specific elements of care is challenging.  Practices often want to recall for QOF, for IIF, for local enhanced services, for CQC, for medication reviews and many other elements of care.  Unless the codes and process used for achieving this are standardised this can introduce clinical risk.  The PCIT diary entry recall system streamlines this approach and the alert highlights to users what is outstanding.
