Indicator definition
Indicator ID | Description |
MH007 | The percentage of patients with schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder and other psychoses who have a record of alcohol consumption in the preceding 12 months. |
What do the business rules mean?
Including patients in the indicator
What adds patients in to eligibility?
Patients are included in MH007 if they:
- Have a diagnosis of psychosis, schizophrenia bipolar affective disorder that has not been succeeded by a resolved code
What will remove patients from being eligible?
Patients are can be excluded from MH007 if they have:
- mental health quality indicator care unsuitable for patient coded in the QOF year
- Patients who chose not to have alcohol screening in the QOF year
- patient has chosen not to receive mental health quality indicator care coded in the QOF year
- 2 invite codes 7 days apart within the QOF year
- Diagnosed with mental health in the last 3 months of the QOF year
- Registered with the practice in the last 3 months of the QOF year
What must I do to achieve the indicator
To meet the criteria for MH007, eligible patients must have:
- Alcohol screening recorded within the QOF year
