Approving requests to join
New colleagues don't get access to your organisation until an admin approves them. This keeps control of who can see your practice's account in your hands.
Where requests appear
Open Practice → Team members. The members list shows each person's status:
- Active — approved and able to sign in
- Pending approval — waiting for an admin decision
- Disabled — access switched off
People arrive in Pending approval in two ways:
- Self-serve requests — a colleague registered via the sign-up wizard and picked your practice; you're notified by email that they've requested access.
- Accepted invitations — a colleague you invited has opened the link and created their account. Until they do, they stay under Pending invitations rather than in the members list.
Approving (or not)
Next to each pending member, use the action buttons:
- Approve — activates the account. The colleague can now sign in (new self-serve joiners receive an email with a link to set their password).
- Remove from org — declines the request and removes them from your list.
You can also Deactivate an active member at any time (and Reactivate them later) — useful for leavers or long-term absence.
What the joiner sees meanwhile
Until approved, they see a *pending approval* screen when they sign in — so if someone says they "can't get in", check this list first.
