Dashboards → Funding & equity explores how practice income relates to activity, staffing, deprivation and disease burden — across roughly 6,000 practices in England.
What's on it
- Income vs appointments — do better-funded practices deliver more appointments?
- Income vs staffing — clinical FTE per 1,000 patients against funding
- Income vs deprivation — payments across IMD (deprivation) quintiles, shown as gradient bars
- Income vs disease burden — QOF register counts per patient against funding
Each scatter plot includes a fitted trend line and the correlation coefficient (*r*), so you can see how strong each relationship actually is. You can toggle between total payments and core ("global sum") capitation, and filter to a single ICB or all of England.
Reading it responsibly
The dashboard deliberately repeats one caution: correlation isn't causation. A practice above or below the trend line isn't "over-" or "under-funded" by itself — case mix, premises, dispensing status and contract type all move the numbers. Use it to frame questions, not verdicts.
