Description

DM017

The contractor establishes and maintains a register of all patients aged 17 or over with diabetes mellitus, which specifies the type of diabetes where a diagnosis has been confirmed.


What are the criteria for this indicator?

In order to be included in DM017, patients must:
  1. be at least 17 years old
  2. have a diagnosis of diabetes mellitus
  3. not have "Diabetes resolved" coded since the most recent diabetes mellitus code
