Data quality (Local data)

Data quality (Local data)

Dashboards → Local data → Data quality is the honesty page behind the local QOF numbers: it shows how fresh your ingested clinical data is, where the feed drops information, and any anomalies that change how the dashboards should be read.

What's on it

  • Last overnight feed — when data last arrived from your clinical system, and the recent extract history (received → applied).
  • Indicator snapshot freshness — when each QOF indicator was last recomputed. Amber chips are older than 30 hours.
  • Medication recency — how much of your medication history falls inside the windows QOF drug rules look at (typically the last 6–12 months). If most of the history is older, drug-window indicators will read low *correctly* — the gap is data coverage in the feed, not a fault in the rules. This is the single most important panel for interpreting drug-based indicators.
  • Clinical events by year — the volume of coded events per year. Dips reveal historical coverage gaps in the extract.
  • Dropped fields — fields your clinical system sends that the data model does not yet map. Anything listed here is invisible to the dashboards until it is mapped.
  • Anomalous records — counts of future-dated and code-less events.

Why this page exists

Every number on the local dashboards is only as good as the data feed behind it. When a figure looks surprising, check here first: nine times out of ten the explanation is freshness or coverage, and this page says so before anyone has to ask.

Like the other Local data views, this page is available only to users registered to your organisation. The heavier statistics are recomputed nightly.
