Getting started with dashboards
The Dashboards menu is where you benchmark your organisation and explore performance data. All the benchmark views are built from published NHS data — aggregate figures with no patient-identifiable information — so they work for every account, including free NHS data access.
The Overview hub
Dashboards → Overview is the front door. Where your organisation has clinical QOF data ingested, it opens with four headline cards — Achievement, Achieved indicators, Income earned and Income at risk — plus an *Achievement by clinical area* chart. Below that, a card grid links to every dashboard you can open.
The dashboards, grouped
The sidebar (and the Dashboards menu) group the views by scope:
My organisation
- Practice performance — your practice benchmarked against PCN, ICB and national figures: demographics, demand and capacity, workforce, income, quality and patient experience.
- PCN performance — every practice in your network compared, with the highest and lowest performers highlighted.
- ICB performance — PCNs compared across the ICB.
- My QOF data — your own clinical QOF achievement from your Nexus (Medicus) data (appears once data is ingested).
System & national
- National performance — every ICB ranked on each metric.
- Funding & equity — how practice income relates to appointments, staffing, deprivation and disease burden across England.
Explore & reference
- AI Insights — ask questions of the data in plain English (package add-on).
- Data sources — every dataset behind the dashboards and when it last refreshed.
Items marked IM1 are scaffolded views that unlock when multi-practice live data is connected.
Learn by doing
The Guides (?) menu includes a *Dashboards* walkthrough covering the sidebar, the scope and period pickers and how to read the tiles — worth two minutes on your first visit.
