The Appointment Reporting area of OneAnalytics provides an overview of appointment availability, utilisation, and performance against both local and national benchmarks. This section contains three main dashboards:
PCN-Level View – The initial view displays performance across all PCNs, allowing you to quickly compare results.
Practice-Level Drilldown – Double-click on a PCN to view the breakdown for each constituent practice. This enables identification of practices exceeding or falling below PCN averages.
Purpose – Monitor how quickly patients can access appointments, supporting NHS England’s access requirements.
Total Appointments – Shows the total number of appointments for the selected period (e.g., June 2024 to June 2025).
Totals Per Month Chart – Tracks monthly appointment volumes, allowing you to spot peaks and dips.
Booking Lead Time – A pie chart shows the breakdown of appointments by time from booking to appointment (e.g., same day, 2–7 days, 8–14 days, over 28 days).
Purpose – Understand how appointment demand and lead times vary over time to support capacity planning.
This section contains three tabs, each offering a different comparative view:
Compares appointment volumes per 1,000 patients for each PCN against the national average.
Helps PCNs see whether they are delivering more or fewer appointments than the national benchmark.
Compares each practice’s performance to the PCN average.
Useful for spotting practices significantly above or below the norm.
Similar to the previous tab but allows more targeted filtering by practice or PCN.
Useful for focused performance reviews at practice or locality level.
Purpose – These views support workforce planning and help identify whether appointment provision meets patient demand in comparison to peers and the national picture.
