Monitoring → Recall worklist is the day-to-day working view of patients with open monitoring requirements — medication monitoring, long-term condition reviews and contract-driven recalls — so nothing slips through.
It's part of the monitoring package; requirements come from the monitoring packs your practice subscribes to.
Reading the worklist
Patients are grouped by how urgent their situation is:
- Escalated — re-monitoring was missed; needs attention first
- Active management — being worked on now
- Overdue — past their due date
- Due soon — coming up
- Deferred / Dissent proposed / Verified exceptions — patients you've actioned with a decision
- Task resolved — awaiting result — the admin task is done, but the episode stays open until a verified clinical result arrives
Each row shows the patient (name, NHS number, date of birth, named GP), the requirement they're due, the due date and how overdue they are.
Actioning a patient
Row actions record your decision — every action is audited (who, what, when) and append-only:
- Acknowledge — you've seen it and it's in hand
- Defer — push the due date by 1, 3 or 6 months (e.g. patient is away)
- Dissent — the patient has declined monitoring
- Verify exception — a clinically verified exception applies
- Resolve task — the task (e.g. bloods booked) is done; note the episode itself stays open until a verified result lands in the record
Invitation recall
A second section tracks invitation-based recall for contract indicators with an approved invitation process: invite progress (sent vs required), spacing waits between invitations, and who's due their next invitation.
If the worklist is empty
An empty worklist usually means your practice hasn't subscribed to any monitoring packs yet — start at Monitoring packs.
