OneLauncher PCN Hub (PT00428)

OneLauncher PCN Hub (PT00428)

Version: v1.0 | Last updated: 21 May 2025

Introduction

The OneLauncher PCN Hub is part of the PCN Hub product which brings together all templates suitable for use within a PCN Hub instance of EMIS Web into one place.  These are selected templates which are usually accessible by practices with the role specific OneLaunchers.

Overview
The OneLauncher PCN Hubs brings together the key templates, tools and resources needed to support clinicians and staff working within PCN hub environments.
It is designed to provide quick access to a broad range of templates and workflows used across multiple roles, supporting efficient patient care and administration within hub settings.
From here you can access consultation templates, coding tools, procedures, care plans and other shared resources.

How to access
1. Open EMIS Web
2. Press F12 to open the Protocol Launcher
3. Select OneLauncher PCN Hubs
If the launcher is not visible, it can be added via the Protocol Launcher settings.
See the article Adding OneLaunchers to the QuickLaunch (F12) and using them for more information.

Notes:
  • The content available may vary based on local configuration and access permissions
  • This launcher is typically used in shared or hub-based environments, where multiple roles access a common set of tools
  • Organisations may use localised versions of this launcher, which can include:
    • bespoke templates and workflows
    • resources aligned to ICB, Place or PCN requirements
    • content supporting local enhanced service specifications
  • For more information on localised content and bespoke resources, visit the Localisation area of the KB:

What is included?

The initial template in this launcher is our “Hub Template”, this is to be treated as the LTC template, like the OneTemplate Prescriber / OneTemplate Non-Prescriber. Due to a limitation of the Hubs, this template does not have the visibility rules seen in the practice templates. This is the only template made for use specifically within the hub.

The remainder of the templates are those found in practice instances of EMIS.
  1. OneTemplate Additional Roles
The OneTemplate Additional Roles template is based on the specification for the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) and it supports the clinician/user in following key clinical, technical and administrative responsibilities in delivering health services. There are different pages on the template for all of the different Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme team members, as well as pages which cover all elements required for care planning.
  1. OneTemplate Acute
The OneTemplate Acute template aids data entry for the commonest consultation types in Primary Care.  It can be especially useful for trainees, allied health professionals or even established GPs who just want a structured and evidence-based way of recording data.
  1. OneTemplate Coding
This template is for use by clinical coders when receiving external communications from other agencies.
  1. OneProcedure
The OneProcedure template has been developed to help clinicians in Primary Care record clinical procedures with ease.
  1. OneTemplate Admin
This template is designed for use by admin team members to record all of the common things that are needed in that role.
  1. Treatment Room Templates
The treatment room list brings together all templates for the treatment room activities into one place.
